Today we are with with Dr. Elizabeth Woolsey, veterinarian and author of several books including – “The Travels of Dr. Rebecca Harper”. She is also a skilled horsewoman, and a lifelong fly-fishing fanatic, which is an incredible mountain art in and of itself. She lives in an idyllic mountain setting in a cabin in north Georgia.

I have ridden horses since I was a small child, which is what inspired me to become a horse veterinarian. I’ve been a horse vet for over 35 years. When I was small, I started with ponies and transitioned to jumpers and even rode some trackwork. These days I prefer the Old Lady Broke to Death kinds of horses. I have cats and dogs and occasionally injured birds. I have been fishing since I was very little. At the age of nine, my father introduced me to fly fishing. The feel of a trout on the line is like a drug. Once you are hooked… pun intended
